Managing Partner

Melissa Moran, CFA is a managing partner of West Group and oversees the company’s investment modeling, asset management activities and financial operations.  She holds a California real estate license and has extensive expertise in real estate brokerage, multifamily and residential development as well as a comprehensive working knowledge of San Francisco laws, zoning, and land use regulations as well as other California rent control jurisdictions. 

Prior to joining West Group, Ms. Moran worked in equity research at the investment bank, Thomas Weisel Partners, covering the Information and Financial Technology Services industry and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.

Ms. Moran received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy from U.C. Berkeley and her MBA from UCLA Anderson. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
